The Daily Grace Podcast
The Daily Grace Podcast exists to encourage and equip women to seek God in His Word. Our goal is for women to know that deep Bible study, sound doctrine, and rich theology are not just for the seminary student or pastor, but are accessible and transformational for all believers. We want to invite women to join us in our conversation about our great God, and be encouraged to seek a deeper knowledge of God that leads them to live their lives for God's glory as they grow in love and awe in response to who He is.
The Daily Grace Podcast is a weekly podcast brought to you by The Daily Grace Co.

Exposure of our personal sins is humbling, hard, and sometimes painful. Often, we find that we try to cover up our sins or ignore them! Or maybe we’re just not aware of some sins lingering in our hearts! We can tend to deny or undermine our sins because we don’t want to feel shame or judgment. But in Christ, we believe that it’s a mercy for our sins to be exposed! It’s an invitation to turn our eyes to the cross, practice repentance, and be purified. This is a vital part of growing in godliness! Is a woman’s worth different than a man’s worth? Does Christianity devalue women? Elyse and Eric show us in their book how Scripture actually holds a high view of women as evidenced by the indispensable role women play in God’s overall plan of redemption. They continue their work by engaging in open and respectful dialogue on this charged topic of the value of women. We talk about why there are misperceptions about women inside and outside of the church, how we can practically celebrate women, and more. The gospel is not just for a certain demographic. We can know this in our heads, but sometimes, the way we live communicates a different message. Maybe we find ourselves withholding the gospel from people who are different from us. Maybe we think some people are “too far gone” in their sins to hear the Good News. Maybe we’ve been deeply hurt and don’t want the grace of God to lead the offending party to repentance. We can forget the gospel, and that it is indeed for all people! Many of us silently wrestle with negative body image issues. We feel pride or shame in how we look or don’t look. While it’s true that God looks at our hearts and cares for the eternal well-being of our souls, He also made us as whole persons with physical bodies. What God said is “good” became distorted with sin. But the gospel offers us true freedom even here. Jesus can overcome the heart issues related to body image. We can find our worth, not in our outward appearances, but in our union with Christ! Someone you know is grieving or suffering. This is true for all of us. And the thing is, we want to be people who love and encourage others well in all seasons of life, even the hard ones. But we wonder: “What if we say the wrong thing? What if we make them even sadder? What if it’s really awkward? Could we really offer any sort of comfort?” In this episode, we get really practical about things we can say and things we can do when we’re walking with others through their grief and suffering. Words are important. We use words to engage with others, so we want to be mindful of the power of words and their tremendous effects. Abbey Wedgeworth joins us today and guides us through this discussion. She offers wisdom, biblical truth, and a lot of practical advice on how we can wisely choose our words when we’re specifically speaking to children. This conversation is not just for parents! Many of us interact with kids in ministry, in our own extended families, or in our neighborhoods. Abide. We use it as our “word of the year”. We see it on coffee mugs, necklaces and baseball caps. But what does abiding really mean? How do we abide? What does it look like to abide in the Lord in this day and age? We are joined by Kristin Schmucker, and she helps us see how abiding is simply being a disciple. It’s not about trying harder out of our own strength, but trusting in the person and work of Christ. It’s an overflow of our position in Christ as His beloved. It’s a means to true rest. Does comparison always lead to envy and competition? Is it really “the thief of joy”? Scripture offers us a different form of comparison: imitation. We are called to imitate those who imitate Christ. This is a positive form of comparison that helps us in our pursuit of godliness. It isn’t about getting validation. It is acknowledging our weaknesses, identifying believers who are strong in those areas, and learning from them in order to grow in Christlikeness. The goal is more of Christ and His glory. We know we should pray. We want a thriving prayer life. But where do we start? What do we say? Our prayer lives feel rote and dry! We wish someone would teach us to pray. Good news! Jesus gave us the model to experience an enriching prayer life in Scripture! The Lord’s prayer has 6 petitions (3 God-centered petitions followed by 3 need-centered petitions), and these can serve as a framework for our prayers. Prayer is an important spiritual discipline to intimately commune with God! Our world is diverse. People come from different cultures, are shaped by different experiences, and have different preferences and passions. Even within the body of Christ, there are a wide range of personalities! While differences can be good, they can also create tension that can give way to conflict/division. Kristie Anyabwile joins us today and offers us practical advice as to how we can embrace our differences, navigate the tension that can arise from our differences, and actually learn from those in the body who are different from us.
