The Daily Grace Podcast
The Daily Grace Podcast exists to encourage and equip women to seek God in His Word. Our goal is for women to know that deep Bible study, sound doctrine, and rich theology are not just for the seminary student or pastor, but are accessible and transformational for all believers. We want to invite women to join us in our conversation about our great God, and be encouraged to seek a deeper knowledge of God that leads them to live their lives for God's glory as they grow in love and awe in response to who He is.
The Daily Grace Podcast is a weekly podcast brought to you by The Daily Grace Co.

Gossip. We’ve all experienced it; we can all agree that it’s unkind. But do we really understand the ramifications of gossip? Gossiping is saying what you don’t need to say, whether or not it’s true. It is always harmful and never helpful. It is unloving. And the most important truth about gossip is this: gossip is sin. Yet, we justify gossip for many reasons. Maybe we call it “seeking counsel” or “asking for prayer”. Is it even possible to not gossip? Being married to an unbelieving spouse is a reality of so many. It’s been Sheila’s reality for 26 years and counting. Today, she graciously answers the tough questions like, “Have you thought about leaving the marriage?” and “What does submission look like?” She points us to God’s Word, which speaks directly to this topic and shares how the local church can come alongside people in these situations. She also offers advice to anyone not yet married. This is a conversation for all of us! Resolutions and goals are popular, but are they self-promoting? Should Christians participate in goal-setting? There are pitfalls to setting personal goals, but we believe there are many dangers of NOT setting goals. Goals can help us use our time, talents, and resources to love God and others. Goals can help us be intentional. Goals can help us make the most of the time we have. Goals can help us meet our ultimate aim of glorifying God in everything we do! Health and diet goals. How do you view and relate to food? The world has a lot to say on this topic! We are joined by Asheritah Ciuciu, and she reminds us that the gospel truly does impact every area of our lives: even the way we view and relate to food. She shares her personal battles with food and how the gospel does lead to true freedom. Because the truth is, the real issue may not be food but idolatry! In Christ, believers can experience true comfort and fulfillment, and in turn, rightfully enjoy the good gift of food. There are 66 books in the Bible so we can be tempted to approach the Word as a compilation of many different books. We can read the same books over and over again and purposefully neglect others. However, the Bible tells one story, and when we don’t read the whole Bible, we actually miss out on parts of the story! There are many benefits to reading the whole Bible, but there are also some barriers. We discuss all of this today, and we also extend an invitation to a special Bible reading challenge for 2020! Special Episode! Gather with friends and family and spend a few minutes listening to this spoken word piece written and performed by Joanna. May it help you celebrate the hope of Immanuel this Christmas. God was with us from the very beginning, and now, in Christ, God dwells in us. We can wait with confident expectation that Christ will come again, and when He does, we will dwell forever in the presence of God and experience the fullness of God with us. A huge thanks to Psallos for allowing us to use their instrumental version of “In the Eventide”. Psallos is a group of Christian artists led by Cody Curtis, and they work in partnership with Union University. Their mission is to provide the Church with songs of worship that are rich in sound doctrine. We are grateful for their willingness to edify the Church through the use of their gifts and their love of God, His Word, and His people. Personal goals related to Bible intake: is it necessary to have a structured plan? Is that being legalistic? What if life is too busy for inductive studies? What if you’ve tried a reading plan in the past and always get off track? Should you try again? It is possible to have specific Bible study goals that you can implement, whatever your life season. The Word is nourishment to our souls, and the ultimate aim of Bible study is to know God and be transformed into His likeness. “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”. You know the hymn and the melody. But did you know that each verse is paired with a different Messianic name? The hymn also upholds a dual purpose. On one hand, it reminds us of Israel’s longing for the Messiah and Christ’s first coming. On the other, it turns believers’ hearts today for Christ’s second coming when He will consummate God’s Kingdom and dwell with His people forever! Caroline Cobb graciously leads our discussion and shares her personal rendition of the song in the episode! Advertisements, gift guides, and “must-haves”. We can find ourselves feeling discontent with what we own. How can we find contentment in the midst of a culture that continually promotes more? This is a relevant issue any time of the year, but it’s heightened around the holiday season. Is it possible to enjoy our material possessions without idolizing them? How can we enjoy the good gifts the Lord provides without getting distracted from the things that matter for eternity? Should our contentment be found in “stuff” at all? We find these hard questions sufficiently answered in God’s Word. What exactly is Advent? Is it commanded in Scripture? Why and how should we observe it? Advent is a season marked on the church calendar, and it begins on December 1st this year. During Advent, believers intentionally remember the longing that God’s people felt awaiting the Messiah. It is also a time to recognize the truth that we are currently in a season of waiting for Christ’s return. We discuss the benefits of observing Advent and share the many ways your family can make meaningful Advent traditions this season.
