The Daily Grace Podcast

The Daily Grace Podcast exists to encourage and equip women to seek God in His Word. Our goal is for women to know that deep Bible study, sound doctrine, and rich theology are not just for the seminary student or pastor, but are accessible and transformational for all believers. We want to invite women to join us in our conversation about our great God, and be encouraged to seek a deeper knowledge of God that leads them to live their lives for God's glory as they grow in love and awe in response to who He is.

The Daily Grace Podcast is a weekly podcast brought to you by The Daily Grace Co.

Lent begins tomorrow. You don’t have to observe Lent, but it can be helpful to prepare your heart for Easter. One thing people often associate with Lent is fasting. Fasting is not unique to Christianity. However, there are spiritual purposes behind fasting that make it a worthwhile discipline for every believer. In Scripture, we see that fasting is often associated with feasting. It’s not just about abstaining from something! It’s saying “no” to something in order to say “yes” to more of God!   Connect with us: www.dailygracepodcast.com www.thedailygraceco.com https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/ https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/   Questions? Missing the mark. Not measuring up. Failing. The question is: what standard are we using? What set of expectations do we feel like we’re failing to meet? And what do we do with our feelings of failure? There are three different categories of standards we should all consider: God’s, ours, and the world’s. Having a proper understanding of these standards can help us better define failure. And as believers, we have the truths of the gospel to help us navigate all of our perceived failures!   Connect with us: www.dailygracepodcast.com www.thedailygraceco.com https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/ https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/   Questions? Self-care: our culture glorifies it, and many in the church shun it. What are believers to think? Is self-care contrary to a self-giving life or is there a way to practice it in a way that honors God? As followers, we are to work hard and with excellence in all things. Yet, we know God made us with finite frames needing regular rest. We actually need to practice self-care if we want to love and serve God and others well! This can feel tricky, but God’s Word can help us balance working hard and resting well.   Connect with us: www.dailygracepodcast.com www.thedailygraceco.com https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/ https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/   Questions? Your social media habits say a lot about you. The truth is, our habits reveal our hearts: our desires, fears, hopes, idols, and more. It’s the appetites of our hearts that drive what we consume and produce online. Our hearts influence the time we spend, how we engage, who we follow, and more. The answer isn’t to abandon social media altogether. We can have healthy habits and steward our platforms for God’s glory! But it will take heart work and some practical application!    Connect with us: www.dailygracepodcast.com www.thedailygraceco.com https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/ https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/   Questions? Money. It’s a topic that makes us squirm. But why? Money itself is neutral. The problem is when it becomes an idol or when we look to it to afford us a certain lifestyle. But the truth is, money has a subtle way of captivating our hearts. We need to be mindful of how we’re relating to it! We go to Scripture to find counsel in how to handle our money in a way that glorifies God. We are also joined by Rachel Cruz who offers us practical tips on how we should approach our money.   Connect with us: www.dailygracepodcast.com www.thedailygraceco.com https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/ https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/   Questions? Anger is an emotion that is deemed bad. We label people with frequent outbursts as “angry people”. Yet, there is so much more to this emotion! If we’re honest, most of us regularly struggle with anger; it just may manifest in different ways. The thing is, not all anger is bad. In Scripture, we see that God gets angry. He hates sin and injustice and that’s good news for us! So how can we engage with anger in a healthy way? Was 2020 a “wash”? What if 2021 is no different? As we end this unique year and look forward to the next, we need to remind each other that, no matter what, the year belongs to God. 2020 was His year, and 2021 will also be His year. This doesn’t mean we deny that things are odd or hard, but it does mean that we have to make efforts to keep the main things the main things. This is why we want to talk about setting Bible study goals. We don’t want our time in God’s Word to fall by the wayside!    Connect with us:  www.dailygracepodcast.com  www.thedailygraceco.com  https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/  https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/    Questions? Take a few minutes and enjoy this spoken word. As we celebrate Christmas, we reflect back on the story of redemption. We see how God created the world and initiated the sweetest melody. All of creation was invited to join in harmony, but we know that sin has marred our ability to sing. The brokenness of this world now presents a song that is out of tune. But God! He sent His Son to restore this harmony, and He will come again. When He does, sin will be no more and His people will join Him in perfect harmony!     Special thanks to Jenny & Tyler for the instrumental track of “O Holy Night”!    Connect with us:  www.dailygracepodcast.com  www.thedailygraceco.com  https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/  https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/    Questions? Christmas is a few days away. Believers around the world are ready to rejoice in the truth that Jesus came, just as He said He would! Yet, there is still a longing in our hearts. We feel it this year more than ever. The cry of our hearts is, “Come, Lord Jesus!” We lean into the longing for Christ to return to fully redeem the brokenness and consummate His Kingdom! Today, we talk about this as we look at the cherished hymn, “Come Thou Long Expected Jesus” with three ladies from City Alight.      Connect with us:  www.dailygracepodcast.com  www.thedailygraceco.com  https://www.facebook.com/thedailygraceco/  https://www.instagram.com/thedailygraceco/    Questions?
